Born in Vale, Nicole from a very young age dealt with discrimination for her ears. Wanting to avoid it, she hid her ears from the world in hopes that nobody would realize that she was a Faunus. While vulnerable from bullying, Nicole looked up to her sister, Autumn, who took the bullying of Faunus with grace. Once Autumn joined up with the White Fang and their ideals changed, she took to brainwashing Nicole, who loyally followed her sister until her best friend reminded her of her true beliefs. After this confrontation, Autumn became highly abusive and the situation dangerous for Nicole, who would continue to listen to her sister's beliefs, so she looked for any method to avoid being home, resulting in her doing anything she could to get out of the abusive situation.
Because of the discrimination against her and her sister's abuse, Nicole has learned that until you get to know somebody, it's best to keep them at arms length. While she may be a very friendly person, it takes a fair bit of time for her to get close to somebody and actually trust them without reason. For those who do manage to get close to her, they become the people she is unshakably loyal to. She will fight anybody who tries to hurt them as though her life was in jeopardy. Failing to protect the people she loves will ultimately break her, and if that doesn't, the fact that she failed in her own promise to protect them certainly will.
Born in a world past prejudices against Faunus, Nina lived a fairly comfortable life as a Faunus. She spent most of her time learning about the ability to summon from her father, who is a gifted, albeit lazy summoner. Despite her background knowledge of summoning, Nina wants nothing more than to help others, , and so she works on learning support magic instead.
In spite of her incredible skill with magic, Nina's strengths lie elsewhere than intellgence, with her not exactly being the brightest apple in the bunch anywhere other than strategy. She is however a bright and friendly girl, socializing easy and working towards making a lot of friends, with an energy that knows no bounds. She's not a direct pacifist, but she is very willing to make peace over fight, with very few things pushing her to actual dislike, disdain, and anger.
The second child of Nina and Nick, Kat puts extraordinary pressure on herself to be as amazing as her parents, grandparents, and older sister. Though she lived a comfortable life, raised by her parents and grandfather and spending a lot of time with her cousins (Ebony and Noire) she constantly put herself down, believing herself not to be worthy of the Apprentice name. When Terra succeeded in her goal of bringing Nicole back, she essentially shut down, believing herself to be a failure to the Apprentice name. This inevitably led to her renouncing it as she got older, and attended Ravenwood for the first time, using a different last name when it came to anybody she introduced herself to.
Despite her anxiety, however, Kat doesn't let that stop her, instead letting herself be social and friendly with most people around her. She tends to edge away from any topics about her family or past, focusing on others stories instead. She's most at peace when it comes to music, the one thing nobody in her family can hold a candle to her with, and the activity she uses to relieve stress the most. Like most other family members, she's fiercely loyal to the people she loves, and would sooner die than see them hurt. She blames herself a lot when thigns go wrong, even if they aren't her fault.
Sky was chosen to be a Keyblade Master when she was a kid, being taken away from her younger sister to train on Daybreak Town, where she met two apprentices, Marina and Landon. The trio quickly forged a bond and became a group of mischief makers, but things went awry when Landon discovered he had darkness. Rather than letting him go off and train with a master prepared to take on the darkness, Sky urged him to stay in an attempt to help him gain control of it, but the end result was the opposite, resulting in the death of her Keyblade Master, and the eventual fall of her friend to darkness. Unable to reach out to him, Sky was eventually forced to kill her best friend, a decision she never one hundred percent came to terms with.
In terms of personality, Sky attempts to hold herself with the poise of a fully trained Keyblade Master. She always manages to hold onto the light in an attempt to be the guiding light for others, and she manages to keep a level head when the situation gets tough so long as it doesn't personally affect her. She experiences a lot of difficulties controlling her emotions when the situation comes to her, and frequently will let her emotions get the better of her, either through her anxieties or her anger. She doesn't do well in crowds, and has a tendency to completely shut down when surrounded by new people in social situations if there are too many at once. While there are a lot of people she cares about, she puts her sister's safety above all else.
Born five years after Sky, Sera views her older sister with a kind of reverence reserved for stars due to her Keyblade training. As a young girl, she always dreamed of being a Keyblade Master, and would frequently travel to Daybreak Town to visit her and her friends. It was during one such meeting that Landon lost control of his darkness, the young boy blinding her in one eye in the proccess. With it determined that Sera could not be trained to use the Keyblade because of this, she became reserved for a while, keeping to herself about the incident. Though learning how to dance and heal others managed to slowly bring herself out of the isolating state, Sera still harbors a small bit of resentment over the fact that she can't quite be like Sky...
Despite being outgoing and friendly, Sera is surprisingly soft spoken. She prides herself on staying polite and mature when interacting with others, with even a hatred for a person staying hidden under layers upon layers of "Pretending I have no issue with them whatsoever." The closer she gets to a person, the more the prim and proper layers tend to fall away, with close friends seeing more of her then the girl who occasionally lets her hair down and has fun, but rather the insecurities she harbors about herself and others. She's much better at hiding her true emotions as well, keeping them hidden from all but her closest friends.
As the daughter of Sky and Yuuya, Sylvia spent most of her life with her brother Leone on the despair world, attempting to survive its harsh environment. Despite living in the dangerous world, most of Sylvia's fighting methods are self taught, due to her parents believing they could protect her and Leone. When their uncle Sakuya died, Skylar and Yuuya finally began to teach their kids. Sylvia was ecstatic when she learned to wield the Keyblade, but when her brother failed to summon one, Sylvia abandoned her training in an attempt to get Leone to spend time with their mother, hoping it might help him learn to summon one as well. Because of this, she learns healing from her aunt instead, but wishes to one day be able to fight without the guilt of using the Keyblade weighing down on her.
As far as the world can see, Sylvia is the biggest flirt in the universe. Cute girl, cute boy, cute other, it doesn't matter, if the person is attractive in some way she will very clearly make her interest in them known. Despite this, Sylvia does her best to avoid leading people on, and does make it clear that most of the flirting is just for fun, and to annoy her brother. Although she never acts like it, Leone means the world to her, and she'll do anything to make sure her brother is happy, even if it means sacrificing a bit of her own happiness as well. She'll just also annoy him and piss him off along the way because Leone is hilarious when annoyed. She is very emotional as well, lacking the emotional control of either of her parents.
Marina was the first of three apprentices to her Keyblade Master, Sylvia. When both Landon and Skylar later showed up, Marina became prickly, annoyed, and defensive of her Keyblade Master, wanting to train alone, but eventually warming up to both her other Apprentices. When Landon uncovered his darkness, like Sky, she helped him attempt to learn to control it, but ultimately failed in helping. When Landon completely fell into darkness, Marina blamed only herself and Sky, resulting in a fight between the two that never really got resolved, one that only got worse upon Landon's death.
Marina is a spitfire when it comes to anger. Breathe the wrong way and you might very well set her off in any situation. She mostly calms herself down by drawing, which she finds is a good way to keep her focus. Anger aside, however, she's otherwise a rather cheerful girl. She's rather down to earth, but keeps a bright attitude to otherwise keep herself from being down. Due to blaming herself for what happened to Landon, she has a lot of resentment and self loathing built up inside of her, but she tries not to let that show too often.
Discovered as a kid by Master Sylvia, Landon was a quick study on the Keyblade, but preferred to stay to himself until Skylar arrived and unified him and Marina together. As apprentices the three were inseparable until he began struggling with darkness inside of him. Rather than tell an instructor, Landon began training himself how to use it on the recommendation of Sky and Marina. When he felt confident enough to show his instructor, he lost control, resulting in the death of his Keyblade Master and permanent injury to Sera. After this occurred, Landon isolated himself from his friends and began training under Riku. He's never forgiven himself, and hopes one day he can earn redemption and the right to stand with his friends. (Unfortunately in most universes, this is never accomplished.)
While he was younger, Landon always tended to stay quiet and in the background, preferring to observe than interact, but Sky managed to pull him out of his shell and encourage him to meet others. After this while his introverted tendencies remained, he became more open and friendly. After losing control of his darkness however he returned back to his shell, pushing others away in an effort to keep them from being hurt. This tendency to lone wolf it makes him seem like an emo piece of shit, but in truth breaking through his shell produces a kind boy who's desperate for friendship, and who's loyal to anybody who'll give it to him.
Born to a sheltered family, Annalee spent a large part of her life trapped in her eccentric and overbearing father's mansion. Unable to leave, she dreamt of escape, turning her to anime, MMOs, and any other reasonable thing her dad would buy her to escape from time to time, dreaming of the day she could one day leave her home. When she turned fifteen, she was finally allowed to go to the outside world for the first time, but found that interactions were much more difficult in real life than in the virtual world, and so she chooses to keep herself to the internet as often as possible, but longs for an interaction with somebody real just as much.
Kingdom Hearts Verse: Annalee is an Unversed with the ability to transform into a human form. Born of Vanitas's love for Aqua, the girl considers Vanitas her father and Aqua her mother. In order to keep her safe when it was revealed she could summon one, Aqua started training Annalee with the Keyblade, however for her safety she was kept far away from the other students. Being alive for only five years, Annalee struggles with social interactions, but is desperate to have some friends of her own. If Annalee is ever allowed near darkness for too long, her human form dissipates and the dark nature of an Unversed's being takes over, resulting in her reverting to the mindset of a normal Unversed and her eventual demise. Due to the unique circumstances that made her, if Annalee is destroyed, she cannot be recreated, unlike most normal Unversed.
In terms of personality, Annalee is awkward to say the least. She never really seems comfortable with what she's saying unless gotten into fangirl mode, in which case she doesn't know how to stop talking. She pushes herself to keep being social in hopes to cure herself from worries of it going poorly, but struggles with it anyways. When she does make friends, she tends to cling to them, in hopes of avoiding losing them, and always tries to make them happy to ensure they won't leave. She's selfless, and would sacrifice herself if it was for the betterment of anybody, including a complete stranger.
Abandoned by her parents when she was a baby, Mirai spent most of her young life in an orphanage. Though she made a few friends, her timid nature made her an easy target for the less kind kids there. The few friends she made defended her when possible, but the frequent bullying left Mirai withdrawing into her shell. Unable to watch, two of her friends proposed they run away, causing the three of them to run away into the streets. Though she attempted to make the most of the situation and picked up odd jobs, when the going got tough Mirai adapted to survive by stealing in order to help her small group, who she regarded as family.
Mirai is a quiet, but kindhearted girl. Imagine the most typical Disney princess personality possible, and you have Mirai. She believes the best in everybody and likes to reach out and make friends with others, especially if she thinks they might be alone. Violence is far from her favorite ideal, she's resorted to many things she's regretted in order to protect the makeshift family she has, but she's never gotten angry or hurt anybody. Her default reaction to a lot of emotions is to cry.
An explorer for life, Ami spent most of her time attempting to learn how to be the very best at anything she set her mind to, which is how she stumbled upon witchcraft. Initially just choosing to pick up the magical arts because she fell in love with the witchy aesthetic, Ami found herself enraptured with each spell she learned, embracing her witchy nature. Though not naturally a bad witch, she has been used by other witches several time for her proficiency in magic who all desire to bring them to her side to use.
Ami is loud and dorky. She spends half of her life caring about wearing the cutest costume and the other half doing anything for the people she befriends. Because she has a curious nature, anybody who takes the time to tempt her with information will inevitably be able to get her to do whatever she asks, causing her to do a great many actions that go against what your traditional mage would consider good. The exception is if it would hurt her friends: She would sacrifice knowledge for the people she cares about.
The eldest daughter of Nina and Nick, Terra spent most of her young life hearing the stories of her grandmother Nicole. With her parents proclivity towards sexual activities, she spent more of her life raised by Tip than she did her parents until she turned around seven or eight. Because of these stories, and her loyalty to her grandfather, Terra dedicated her life to studying whatever path she could that could give her the powers she needed to bring Nicole back to life.
Terra is a determined and set girl. All she wants is to reach her goals, no matter how serious or stupid they may be, to the point that even hurting her family wouldn't stop her. She has a deep bond with her two eldest cousins, as they grew up together, and her younger sister, and would do anything for the three of them, even if it cost her her life.
Faline spent most of her young life alone. Because of her stupidity, many of the people she got to know viewed her as somebody they could take advantage of, resulting in her developing a low self esteem and viewing herself as useless. Deciding she wanted to do something with her life, Faline decided to study magic in an attempt to learn something that people could be proud of her with. Although she struggles with magic and picking it up, her enthusiasm helps her through it to some degree.
Faline is a cheerful, trusting, and...well...stupid girl. She's overly friendly in spite of being misused and abused time and time again, and works doubly hard to make friends everywhere. All of this, however, is a facade for her insecurities and difficulties, which she buries under her cheerful nature. After being treated poorly so many times, she has a hard time believing people trust her, and a harder time trusting others about things.
Aiden is a fox boy who had his fair share of difficulties in life. He spent most of his life preferring research and solitude to making friends, and as such grew up alone and overlooked. As he grew older, he attempted to learn to reach out of his shell, but struggled and was mocked for his poor social skills and fox traits, leading to the boy determining he was just better off alone, too cool for other people who he was dealing with.
In spite of his lonely backstory, Aiden surprisingly has a lot of self confidence. He believes he's too cool for most other people, and acts with a lot of self confidence, trying to act in ways that people believe are bad ass or cool. This is actually false, as anybody who gets him on a subject he's passionate about would find a rambly dork who just will not shut up. Despite his confidence, he has a cold nature towards those who treated him poorly, and has a tendency to ignore them entirely.
Peach never actually knew her parents or family. She spent a large majority of her time alone as a young Pichu, just trying to navigate the world around her. Because of this, she spent her childhood trying to find somebody she could trust, somebody she could consider a friend. Having stumbled upon a young Chikorita one day, the two began to forge a bond that she thought would never be broken. They became fast friends and dreamed of exploring the world together, but when the Chikorita vanished, Peach felt betrayed, and assumed that she would simply be left to travel the world alone.
Peach is a piece of shit. She very rarely takes things seriously and is a lot more likely to make fun of you than she is to put any serious effort in to befriend you. She spends a lot of time exploring the world, not particularly thinking of the consequences, and her lack of filter means she speaks the first thing that comes to mind. Her inability to take things seriously frequently causes her to struggle with getting riled up, to the point that nothing short of killing a close friend could get much of a serious reaction, and never a reaction with anger. That being said, despite her irresponsible nature, she does have the ability to own up to her mistakes, and if her actions cause people to get hurt she sobers up, becoming actually scared of the consequences. Deep down through all her lack of care, Peach has a strong desire to be noticed and adored, causing her to do any desperate stunt to be the center of attention and have people like her.
Damien grew up in a small aristocratic family with his two siblings, an older brother and sister. Around his eighth birthday, his older brother vanished, leaving him and his sister alone. Acknowledging what happened, Damien put forth his best effrot to attempt to find his older brother, but ultimately failed. Because of this, he put his effort into studying the magic behind auras and learning about the world around him in hopes of one day finding his brother.
In spite of mourning his brother, Damien actually has a pretty cheerful disposition. He never really gave up hope on finding his brother again despite his sister's urging, holding onto the positive belief that one day, he'd find him again soon. He's also a deligient student, and sometimes puts himself too hard into his studies that he ignores the world around him to learn the next lesson, most likely this is caused since he believes it might be the only way to find his brother once more.
Born to a family of heroes, Ash entered into a rebellious stage at around age seventeen, deciding that they wanted nothing to do with heroics and instead deciding to put most of their focus on learning how to be an excellent villain. Despite this, they have no actual desire to be a villain, and when the world ends up in trouble, they use this knowledge to understated investigations, preferring to understand the villain's method and undermining them based on what they learned from their understanding.
Ash is easily annoyed with a primary interest in navigating whatever strange world they finds themself in. They can be sarcastic and a bit snarky when the situation calls for it, and sees no reason not to stand up for their beliefs where they are questioned. They're very overprotective of their friends, and will often times get themself into dangerous situations to find out what might be happening with them if the situation calls for it. Despite claiming they have no desire to help others outside of their immediate friend circle, they do have a protective streak, and if the world's in danger they're likely to try to step up to the plate.
Melody was born with the ability to see sound in bright and vibrent colors. Using her rainbow to her advantage, she began to learn how to compose music from an early age, becoming a world famous composer and conductor as she emersed herself in the musical world to learn more about the colors that she saw in the world.
Because Melody spends most of her time listening to music, she tends not to be fully aware of the world around her, making her airheaded and a bit of a ditz. This is partially because of the music and partially because she struggles with focusing on anything else, as even conversations can result in distracting colors in her world. In spite of not always focusing on the right thing, she can be smart, and is rather friendly whenever she does give people attention.
Abandoned as a child, Ava spent most of her childhood out in the forest until she was taken in by an orphanage. In the orphanage, Ava mostly kept to herself due to the maltreatment of herself by other people and the abandonment complex she developed upon hearing of what her parents did to her. However, one day she started claiming she was talking to the animals around to other people, since she was lonely. At first this was dismissed as childish fantasies but eventually they continued well into her adulthood. This led to individuals dismissing her, not that she let it really bother her.
Because she is an untreated schizophrenic, Ava experiences hallucinations and delusions regularly. She believes that she can talk to animals and that they're her only friends. She is frequently caught rambling on to nothing (probably the animals) and often times goes around the long way to even come up with the solution to a signle problem. Despite being schizophrenic, the disorder causes her little distress, and as such she hasn't actually been diagnosed with anything. Doesn't make it mentally stable though.
Blaze spent most of their early life enthralled by the power of fire, even as a kid, and as such decided that they would go to Ravenwood as soon as they had the ability to. They spent their entire time dedicated to reading textbooks on the magic and dreaming of the day their acceptance would come.
Blaze is fire personified. They have a bold personality and work hard and fast to be noticed by others. They aren't naturally aggressive, but are very good at finding people to fight at any time since they aren't afraid to speak their mind and challenge others who might disagree or be hurting others weaker than them. They can be childish at times and bare a grudge at those who disagree as well.
Created in a laboratory, Stella was a defensive android who as she grew, developed thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Because of these, she was threatened with deactivation should she act out of line. The higher ups in the lab that made her decided to attack the one person in the lab who did dedicate herself to Stella, resulting in an attempted shut down. Rather than allow that to be the case, Stella killed the remaining scientists responsible for her creation and fled to hide somewhere people wouldn't try to take her out.
Stella is a very goal driven individual. She has a one track mind that keeps her purely focused on her goal, whether that goal is good, bad, or somewhere in between, and will always rationalize that decision, believing her actions are always right. She has no qualms in using people if it is advantageous to her scenario, simply because she believes she's always doing the right thing. Because of her ability to rationalize any action and inability to understand the problems with her actions, her morals are also incredibly loose. Her time in isolation and creation have resulted in her having a very innocent and childlike demeanor, as she doesn't understand much of the world around her.
Sage is the child of the legendary witch Ami Bellerose. Uninterested in following in their mother's footsteps, Sage instead decided simply to go their own way in life. They decided they wanted to explore the world, picking up a hybrid of archery and magic and working to learn all about the world around them.
With the overly extroverted personalities of a lot of the people in their mother's family, Sage grew up to be an antisocial introvert. They prefer to avoid socializing with others and instead started to simply push new people away. They mostly do this just by staying silent and ignoring people until they leave, though the people who they do manage to befriend can't seem to get rid of them, as they tend to latch onto them and become much more social and friendly.
The more serious of two twins, Amber spent most of her life tending to her flake of a brother who spent all his time flirting up a storm. This culminated in his stupid actions getting him exciled, and Amber went along for the ride, deciding to travel the world to ensure his stupidity didn't get him killed and to actually get to explore the world outside of her small village.
Amber is a serious and friendly girl. She has an open personality and tends to not really push people if necessary. She's easily embarrassed and irritated, however, especially in regards to the actions of those close to her. Her embarrassment causes her to be annoyed, in which she'd fight the person who's causing her embarrassment at any time.
Raised by distant parents, Leon spent most of his life attempting to make friends, and often times failing due to the large gap between himself and the people surrounding him. As a result, he became distant from others and aloof, because of the differences in social standings that he had no idea how to broach.
Being the SHSL Heir, unfortunately Leon is a bit of a...well, dick. He has his moments of genuine kindness to people he's closest to, but overall he tends to come off to many as a stuck up jerk to many people who just meet him, as he often chooses to associate with very few people. Getting to know Leon reveals that he just has no idea how to interact with people in a different station, despite him wanting to.
